This workshop is all about creating a seamless UX for systems powered by AI in the backend. It isn’t about using AI tools in your UX design process—it’s about helping you design for AI-based systems.

Users often find it difficult to use AI-based tools, presenting unique challenges for UX design. Trust is a significant issue, as users frequently struggle to rely on systems they don’t fully understand. Transparency is another major hurdle, with AI systems often perceived as “black boxes,” leaving users uncertain about how decisions are made. Creating accurate mental models of how these tools function is also incredibly difficult, leading to confusion and misuse.

In this upcoming workshop, we’ll explore key topics such as mental models, trust, XAI (explainable AI), biases, the allocation of responsibilities between humans and machines, and more—all to design user-friendly AI systems.
